Accommodation Maison Royale is situated in Knez Mihailova street, one of the most beautiful streets of our city. You will enjoy the wonderful architecture that adorns the main street which was mostly constructed during 19th century by some of the most influential and wealthy families from Belgrade’s political and trade circles.
Today this street is the tourist center of the city, full of restaurants, bars, shops and other tourist attractions.
If you wish to go shopping, don’t worry because right next to the accommodation you will find the Rajićeva Shopping Center with a large assortment of local and international brands.
FORT - PARK
Just a few steps from the accommodation will get you to the magnificent fort turned park Kalemegdan. A walk through this park will definitely remain in your memory since the city’s history is at every step, and the view of the confluence of the two rivers and the rest of Belgrade is breathtaking.
Only 300 meters from the accommodation you can find the oldest restaurant in Belgrade. Don’t miss your chance to try rakija, the Serbian national drink and the delicacies of our cuisine like ajvar (ayvar), ćevapi, gibanica. We are sure you will enjoy it all.
If you wish to have a drink with a view of the Danube, try the marvelous international cuisine or you just wish to see the charms of the famous Belgrade nightlife, the Promenade is an ideal spot. Only 500 meters from the accommodation you will find numerous restaurants and bars that offer an opulent day and night program.
Just as Istanbul has Hagia Sophia, and Rome has St. Peter’s Basilica, so Belgrade can be proud of the Saint Sava temple, one of the largest orthodox Christian temples in the world. The temple is adorned by 18 gilded crosses, and the insides of the temple basements will leave you breathless. The temple is only 2.8 km away from the accommodation.
Some 9 km from the accommodation you will find the Ada Ciganlija peninsula with it’s more than 50 different sport grounds, you can take a swim or sunbathe during summer, ride a bike or just relax in one of the beachside cafes. The peninsula is open year-round.
In Knez Mihailova and it’s surrounding streets you will see numerous galleries. Here in the vicinity as well are the Ethnographic museum, the Cultural Centre of Belgrade and the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and only 1.6 km from the accommodation you will find the Belgrade National Theatre.
